These are great shears. Really smooth cutting. Perfect for trimming buds. When they get sticky set them in some alcohol and wipe clean. Ready to do it again. Price is awesome because it comes with a LIFETIME warranty.

Best precise trimmer I have found.
There is not a better precise trimmer that I know of. The lock does slip back often and you need to push it back open. They do not last forever with lot of use, and heavy use will wear them out in a few months. Sometimes the spring comes off and then you need a new one. But, others have the same problems, and either don't cut as well or don't last as long. I have used (several pairs) for 9 years, extensively for many gardening and harvesting sessions. Great for deadheading, quick basil and parsley harvesting, and other more intensive trimming jobs. I buy 2 pairs per year, and keep the old ones for rougher jobs until they break...some last for a few years.

Nice clippers for thinning out plants.
Quality is acceptable due to the fact that I take care of my tools! If you're a tosser/dropper of tools these may not hold up well for you. They are sharp and very pointed for detail, tight space trim work. Great for thinning tomato plants. Good buy if under $12, grip & fit shape is good & fit my 'smallish' hands.

Everyday Garden Tool Youโll Actually Use
Top tool used in our vegetable and flower gardens. Has been purchased a few times and we keep them in multiple spots because they get used daily. Great for cutting twine, trimming small branches, and thinning seedlings with clean, precise cuts. Small enough to keep in a pocket, but be mindful, it is sharp and can make a hole if not closed or covered properly. One older pair had an issue with the locking mechanism, but the warranty process was simple and easy. Filled it out, submitted photos, and it was taken care of without hassle. Also makes a great Motherโs Day gift, practical and something that actually gets used all season.

Excellent flower stem snips for smaller hands
Lightweight, well-designed spring mechanism that does not stick, and easily takes apart for cleaning plant residue. True stainless steel non-rusting blades. Cuts flower stems easily without needing much force. Best for smaller or arthritic hands. Says it is made in Finland. BEWARE: Fiskers makes another small flower snip that has a different design and spring mechanism, with less than optimal reviews. That's why I went to the trouble to write this review.

Still Sharp
I've had this for a while now and use it frequently to trim down my plans. I haven't noticed it dulling down. Like that it locks when not in use

Nonstick coating works great but opener spring is quite stiff
This snip is designed specifically to work with trimming content that might be resinous and/or sticky. The black non stick coating is really effective. I typically only get minimal stuck on build up of material right at the sharpened edge where there is no coating. So what does build up wipes away easily since the contact area for buildup is so thin and minimal. Also the opener spring is stiffer than your average snip. I suspect it's to help separate the blades when dirty and closed. As a result it never sticks closed in my usage while the cheaper Lumox branded green snip on Amazon for ~$9 would regularly get build up and stick closed. Indicating I had to stop and clean them before proceeding, which annoyingly happened very often. This is a nice feature but it does mean long trimming sessions will tire your hands faster, and your hands will get some discomfort/pain faster compared to the cheaper snips.

Great Product from Finland
The original product is from Finland. The one that was shipped to me was made in China, the quality is comparable to the original by the looks of it. Have not used it extensively ... will review again when I have used it for a year.
