I wanted them to build something worthwhile (cute animal), but experience frustration with the instructions. I wanted them to think about how they felt and how they would create their own instructions. I selected these based on reviews. it worked beautifully. One box included no instructions whatsoever. Two were missing a piece or two (but not a big deal). All had extra pieces. One had instructions using black bricks and black lines to denote the individual pieces. Instructions were complicated, but doable. Animals were adorable. Took about 20 minutes.
