I haven't received this item yet, it will be here in a few days. About a week ago I was looking at my orders and saw that Amazon has stop selling these fans because many people have been receiving bad ones. If mine is bad I have no realistic recourse but to eat it.I also saw complaining on the egg site on the same issue and people say that Silverstone is not being responsive.Soooo, two can play at that game. Yesterday I bought a new power supply retail in Philippines and I had a choice of a Silverstone 600 watt or a Thermaltake 575 for the same price (about 120USD). I bought the Thermaltake in an act of retaliation and because I think it's a better unit. Mwah (that means 'kiss') to Silverstein.**** update **** Aug. 11, 2013I received my fan and have been using it for a week. It appears that I received a good one. I left the speed switch on 'P' out of the box because I read other reviews that had their fan fail after testing in 'Q' mode. The higher speed is why I bought it - to cool a six-core AMD powerhog. On a Gigab 990fxa-d3 board it runs from idle of 1350 to 1800rpm without any fancy control software and cools just fine on a coolermaster GEMIN II S524.4 stars. 1 docked because of the uncertainty. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Powerhouse of a fan with painfully short cable. *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2020* I doubt you will find a similar size fan with an equivalent CFM or static pressure at any given noise level due to being 50% thicker than pretty much every other fan on the market. The built in fan splitter, RPM limit switch (which is incorrectly marked), rubber fan mounts, and 120mm mounting holes with 140mm adapters makes the fan very versatile.I wish they included eight 140mm mounts instead four but the biggest problem that they don't give you and extension cable, The 9" long cable severely limits how/where you can place the fan even in a small case. I had to pull more cable from the fan frame and mount the fan opposite direction to get the 12" of cable I needed to mount the fan.Do yourself a favor and get an extension cable even if you don't think you need it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Some Fat Fans Boi *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2016* They are great fans, but since they're a little thicker you might have some compatibility issues with some cases. Also it has 120mm mounting holes but comes with adapters. The adapters help out, but trying to get these to mount on the 280mm rad was pretty time consuming because the adapters don't fit very well on the rad so, and you'll need to purchase some shorter radiator screws to mount them. so they're not very ideal for watercooling. They also have a switch for power or quiet mode.This switch feature was odd however because somehow the settings designated by the switch positions were somehow flipped so the fans saw much more performance on quiet mode than performance mode. Quiet mode is pretty quiet, it runs at around 1300 rpm on this setting, and around 2000 rpm on performance mode. Noise level seems very subjective to me but they're pretty quiet compared to other things in my house that overpower these fans. On either setting the fans move a lot of air and keep my CPU (6700k) around 23 Celsius at idle.
