Efficient, robust, powerful little juicebox!
I used to have an OEM 250W power supply in my mini-ITX case that came with the case when I purchased it. When I added an external graphics card earlier this year, I quickly realized I needed to upgrade my power supply to match. I looked to see if I could find something from Corsair, Seasonic, or one of the other brands I know and trust. When I saw this FSP unit, I remembered how they used to supply power supplies to manufacturers like Compaq in the servers I worked on in datacenters in the nineties. That was enough for me to pull the trigger, especially considering the very reasonable price. I'm very glad I did! There were several upsides to this upgrade: 1. With the original PSU, my average power consumption whilst doing very basic tasks would be about 60W, as measured with my Kill-a-watt power meter. After upgrade, that dropped to less than 45W!!! That's an efficiency increase of 25%, which is just silly. 2. The fan in the old power supply was running all the time, at a noticeable level. New power supply fan doesn't kick in at all, unless I ramp up CPU usage to 100% for sustained periods (rendering video etc). 3. The heat generated by the old PSU was palpable. Post-upgrade, the temperature in my office has dropped by several degrees! The new power supply is hardly even warm to the touch where the old one was hot! This is due to two things - having the extra 200W headroom, as well as the Bronze 80 certification. This is a guarantee of at least 80% efficiency in the conversion of mains AC voltage to the PC's 12V, 5V, and 3.3V feeds. There are four rating levels - bronze, silver, gold and platinum. I will never again buy a PSU that is not 80+ rated. This is a GREAT little power supply, and I am very glad to see that FSP are still making the same quality of equipment after all this time.

Dead On Arrival
PSU itself looks decent. Cabling isn't great (miss the mesh sleeving you see with brands like Seasonic), but seems fine for what I needed. Once I got this thing actually hooked up, I found that it was dead on arrival. Didn't think to test it first. Will be returning this item. Not certain I want a replacement unit.

Good power supply
A well-built power supply unit with a loud fan. If you haven't heard of FSP or their reputation as a power supply builder, that's okay because most people haven't. FSP is the OEM of OEMs, meaning that they normally create the power supplies that go into OEM's systems like Dell and Lenovo, as well as developers of other power supply manufacturers like Thermaltake and Cooler Master. The unit itself delivers clean power. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the unit is painted black, considering that I was expecting this to be a silver "OEM"-style unit, and that it even has a power switch! FSP's soldering is impeccable, at least on this unit. I've had this supply on for several months without stop, and it hasn't taken out my computer yet, which is a good thing. Whenever dealing with small form factor, heat is a large factor, and noise is a large factor with smaller fans having to spin faster to move the same amount of air. Unfortunately, FSP chose to use a particularly loud fan. Additionally, some of the wires are longer than others and are tangled with no way to tidy them without complete disassembly and desoldering. If this is a rig that you're going to be looking at, get sleeving. Pros: -Clean power -Black paint job -Clean soldering -Dependable Cons: -Loud -Poor cable management Conclusion: if this is going in a computer that you won't be seeing and you wear headphones, this is a neat little power supply. If the computer this will be powering has a window or you don't wear headphones, this might not be the product for you; I would recommend Corsair's SF400 unit.

Powerful, not too loud, pretty good value.
It works fine so far. I had to modify my Mini ITX case because the stock power supply had an intake fan and nowhere for exhaust to go, but now it's all in great shape. It's also a little quieter than the stock Rosewill 250W that the case came with. The only thing I would have really preferred is for the cables to be detachable. There are only so many cubic inches inside that case, and the cables on this PSU are extra long.

Loud fan!
Works great, as a power supply, but the fan is sorta loud.

I purchased this power supply in August 2017. As of 2/3/18, this thing is dead. There was no warning, it just died. If this is the quality of products from FSP, I am never purchasing their products again.

Nice compact PSU with good performance, but one major problem
I have the older 300W model of this PSU which I really like. It's a very nice and silent PSU that's the smallest I could find but still fits ATX mount. It has solid 80+ performance efficiency. So it was a no brainer when I upgraded my system and need a bigger PSU. I was quite happy to find that they made a 450W version. The moment I powered on the 450W version I was totally surprised. Normally my CPU fan is the noisiest component, but this PSU is totally louder than that. It's not just the noise of lots of air moving fast, but there's a noticeable whirl from the fan that makes you think the fan is about to die. I am so used to the 300W version being silent I thought I got a bad unit, so immediately returned and got a replacement from Amazon. A few days later, got the replacement, powered on, and same thing--unacceptably noisy. Well, I understand they need more cooling now that it's a total 150W stronger, but they should either find a solution that's as quiet as the 300W version, or make the PSU physically larger. It's as if they just took the 300W design, up the output and crank up a fan that's not designed to perform quietly at such level. So after having been impressed with their 300W version of this PSU, it has been quite a disappointment. If they could keep the fan as quiet as their 300W version, this would've been a solid and the most compact ATX PSU I could find, but too bad, they didn't even try to address the noise with a better fan when they increased the output of this PSU to 450W. Got a Nexus value 430W, which is much larger, but still smaller than a full ATX PSU, and very happy with that. Near silent and actully slightly more efficient than this one.

Perfect power supply for a small PC case
I have a couple of compact cases that use a micro-ATX motherboard. Space is very tight in them. The power supply is directly behind the CD/DVD drive(s). Standard size power supplies are just too big. When I found out about this power supply I was thrilled to find one that could handle so much power in such a small form factor. It includes a mounting plate to fit the standard power supply opening in the case, and the power supply mounts to the plate. The only thing that would make this power supply better would be a modular version so I didn't have deal with the unused cables.
