I keep one on my keychain and stuck the other to the side of my fridge (the internal magnet is a genius feature). The Ceramic Blade: The blade is tiny and protrudes only a fraction of an inch. • Safety: You can literally run your finger over the edge, and it won’t cut you. It requires the friction/resistance of material (like cardboard or tape) to slice. If you have kids in the house, this is the only box opener you should leave in a drawer. • Performance: It glides through packing tape and arguably the worst packaging on earth: rigid plastic clamshells. It cuts through that hard plastic without slipping, which is usually where accidents happen with standard knives. Durability: I was skeptical about "ceramic," thinking it would chip, but it holds up. I’ve used it on corrugated cardboard boxes, and it hasn't dulled yet. The Limitation (What you need to know): This is a slicer, not a saw.
