Every iconic feature is here! On the outside, the terrific detailing includes 'V' shape three-way color split at the front, rounded roof and window frames, opening 'splittie' safari windshield, opening doors, iconic pop-up roof with textile curtain surround, roof rack, rear side air intake vents and lots more! The detailing is equally impressive on the inside, from the authentic VW air-cooled flat four cylinder 'boxer' engine, front cabin bench seat, gear stick, angled dashboard and iconic spherical speedometer, to custom LEGO features like folding rear bench seat, folding dinette table, closet with mirror and even a painting! Ages 16+. 1334 pieces.

Review: Challenging and fun project with incredible detail - I had a blast putting this together and it looks amazing when it's done. As others have noted, the pieces do not come in numbered bags, so you need to develop your own strategy for organizing and sorting through all the pieces to find what you need. The level of internal detail is staggering and quite delightful. I did find the area that included the front windows and the front part of the roof to be a bit weakly attached, so be careful around that area, and now that it's assembled, I really try not to touch it there.

Incredibly detailed, fun, amazingly designed, super fun and funky. Did have one missing piece - a black 1 x 2 that goes on the front passenger door - but I scarfed one from my Millennium Falcon (next build) and just received replacements (free and quickly) from LEGO who are great about this stuff. Built over four sessions (give or take)...maybe 16 hours? Detailed engine. Folding table and bench seats. Kitchen/sink. Closet with mirror. Hippie art. Therapy in a box. Makes the cares of the world go away and finishing it...there's still something amazing about finishing your LEGO. Millennium Falcon is next...followed by the dreaded Tower Bridge and Sydney Opera House. I've pretty much got my next year plotted out. Thank you LEGO. Miracle in a box...and cheaper than going to the shrink.

**Q: Hi ! Can a lego figure fix inside ? Is it in same scale?**

While a LEGO® minfiigure will fit inside this set, it wasn't designed with minifigs in mind. The seats don't have studs to hold them, and they won't be quite exactly in scale.

**Q: Does anyone how many bags come with this kit??**
A: Hi there! The part come in 14 bags in this set.

**Q: is this a new set, or used?  This came with lots of bags of parts, and none of the bags are numbered.  And many parts are missing!**
A: So this set doesn't come with numbered bags even brand new from the lego store. You gotta go old school with this one. Even within the first few pages you're opening multiple bags. I've never been a sort by color person when it comes to Legos but separating big from little definitely helps. Also I've never had parts missing even though it seems that way. Legos are just good at hiding lol

**Q: What's the different between this one and the older version on amazon for $124?**
A: Just looking at the two different boxes, I would say the difference is the number of pieces. This one has 1334 pieces while the older version has 1332.  And the picture on the box is different. I’m thinking they just gave it a facelift and added a couple of accessories, like the t-shirt that says “Make Leggos, Not War” and the picture with the surfboard on it. Video from the creator of it said it has his initials on the board. The older one is a collector’s edition I would think.

When I got this from amazon I was really excited to start the build! But just so you know this is a 16 and up expert LEGO set so it might be a little hard especially for kids but it’s not to bad. The bags do not have numbers on them so that means you just dump all 13,000 pieces in one hull so that means it will be a little hard to find little pieces but I did deal with this before it’s kind of a pain but no big deal. All in all great LEGO great detail and would be a good gift! I also like that you can put lights in it! This is a great LEGO!
