It is the only usb type-c to type-a cable that I have seen with USB-IF certification, which ensures your cable won't fry your expensive device. I bought it to use with my Nintendo Switch console, and it charges while playing the new Skyrim port, when paired with my Aukey 5v/2.4a wall adapter. I haven't tested it with Breath of the Wild yet, but I doubt the power draw will be much more than Skyrim. I have seen quite a few people complain in reviews about cables or adapters that won't charge the switch, but they either bought a bad cable or were using an under-powered charger. Pair this with a 2.4 amp DC power source, and it should charge whatever handheld device you want.
