Every time my hand/arm brushes against it when I'm in bed, I think one of my cats is there, but it's my pillow sham! The color is exactly as pictured. They have a zipper closure and are durable shams for decorative use. I have super thick bamboo pillows that do not fit into standard size pillow cases, so I bought the king size and they were monstrous! There is no queen size option, so I bought the standard size and there is plenty of room for the bamboo pillows, and it doesn't look baggy at all. I imagine regular size pillows would be swimming in there. I cannot presume to know how they will hold up to kids/pets/rough use, but they are just fine to prop me up in my bed and use for decorative pillow shams. My cats love kneading on them because they think it feels like mama kitty too! :) They have an almost undetectable shimmer to the shag side, but enough to be really pretty.
