I didn't want a solid wall dug into with all the concomitant mess and repair. These worktop sockets can have the cabling run along the back of cupboards. I prefer these sockets to ones inset into the worktop as some inset sockets have boxes below that might interfere with drawers etc or be liable to let water in. The sockets look smart.

    USB Ports Do Not Work as Data Ports

I purchased this when I saw it had two cords... a traditional power cord and a USB cord. This lead me to believe that the USB would be plugged into a computer and make the 3 USB ports additional extended data ports. Not the case. To get power to the USB ports, it has to be plugged into a computer and when it is, it just acts as USB power. Waste of time. There are other products out there that do this in a much smaller configuration. Too late now... I've already cut the hole. For this reason I have to rate it a 1 star.
