Easily adjustable, and it's big enough where you have a lot of free space to bail on; it honestly saved me a few times. It's also super sturdy, I put 315 on it for RDLs and it held it pretty well. It does sometime get misaligned when you throw the weight on it. It doesn't scratch with since it has a protective layer on it. Review: A+ - My husband uses these on a weekly basis for squats and bench. He did fail his second set of 385# squat once and the bar fell onto these safeties and they caught it no problem. We think they did bend a bit from this, but are still functioning. We know they'll only take so many hits. He did add strips of plastic to the tops because the red paint was rubbing off on the bar.
