The box has a strong fresh grass and hay scent (but since this is orchard grass, no allergies for this human) and is jammed packed with tender hay.I have 2 rabbits - a 8 year old Holland Lop and a new Angora. I've previously regularly bought Orchard Grass for years - but after multiple bad batches in a row of not great orchard grass (all yellow, dust, and dirtballs) that my rabbit refused to eat from other Amazon sellers that do 5lb+ Orchard Grass, I switched to Timothy.My new rabbit, a Satin Angora, has Timothy hay allergies, so I went back to try Orchard Grass again, as well as Oat Hay. My Angora and Holland Lop heartily enjoy this Orchard Grass. I admit, both seem to prefer Viking Farmer's Oat Hay more (the oat stalks are rich and tasty) but I prefer this Orchard Grass as there's less bits stuck to Angora rabbit fur and less rich.Either way, I'm sticking to this brand.
