They really do cut flush but are NOT for thick, strong wire. The edge is very thin and will easily become nicked if you try to flush cut steel or anything other than a soft metal. **Q: Will this cutter cut G Gauge Track?** A: I really doubt it, the cutting blades are fairly small.
