I've had the water absorb into the clay on the pot, that you can see on the outside, but i haven't had any leaks. I put a plastic tray under each one, just as I always do. **Q: Should my pot be changing color when I water my plants?** A: The pots will absorb some of the water when watering the plant and get darker, but it will return to an even color when it dries out. **Q: Are these heavy enough to survive the wind?** A: These aren't super heavy, but with the plant and the dirt, it should survive a decent amount of wind. These aren't light like plastic, but they are lighter than some of my other terracotta pots. **Q: Can they nest when not in use?** A: Absolutely !!!!
