Horizon HEPA-Type Air Purifier

Update 2 (October 1st): It has been five months since I bought this. Today, the filter notified me it needed to be changed (see photo). Wow! I haven’t looked at it this whole time. All of this in the air? Imagine our lungs without an air purifier - it’s no wonder people get sick! My girlfriend has reported a significant decrease in allergies to our cat and dog (less sneezing and runny nose (went from a few days ago week to maybe a day a month) and I have yet to smell the smell of pets. This is worth every dollar. Buying my first replacement filter today - I know it’s pricey but it’s worth the cost to our health. Update 1 (August 6th): This is still great. In conjunction with the air conditioner running, this thing cycles that cold air all through the room, cooling the room so fast - and it’s not even its job. It also keeps non air conditioned rooms/areas cooler I’ve noticed. Our home still smells dog free. As a matter of fact, I’ve forgotten the smell. It doesn’t do away with dust but I do notice a clean smell daily and the filter shows it’s working. What’s most impressive is the constant numbers cycling on the screen giving an idea of how many impurities per a certain area it is scrubbing. I bring this in my kitchen my I’m doing some heavy cooking and those numbers go from 005 - 030 to 450 to 500! This thing goes into over drive detecting particles in the area. It’s quite impressive. After cooking, I’ll leave this running in the kitchen and the smell - most noticeable like pork or seafood - is removed from the air within an hour or so. It’s so cool. I have owned this for about two weeks. I cannot give a review that reflects longer ownership but I will circle back in a couple months to update. I want to mention that I purchased this with my HSA card (it’s free money pretty much) so that right there is a plus benefit. The quality of this product is superb. It appears the company has been around for more than two decades and is reputable - you never know what pops up on Amazon these days. There are some complaints on here about noise - um.. it’s an air purifier. If it’s not sucking in air and expelling it out.. it’s not doing its job. You have the option to run this on three different levels of air movement depending on how many ‘cycles’ you wish - or how many times a certain amount of cubic square feet of air is purified in an hour. You also have the option to run in a sleep mode which is quiet and undetectable. Myself, I like to run on high during the days and low at night. I primarily purchased this because of regular every day dust that is naturally occurring that cannot always be kept up with and pets. In particular, we have a golden retriever who although bathed weekly, still smells like a dog. With this purifier it’s been nice to come home from work and just smell fresh air and not the dog. I don’t tend to run it with windows open because you’re cleaning unlimited air for free and pulling in pollens, etc.. so don’t do that if you buy this. If you’ve never owned a purifier, it’s good to put it in the place it will do the most good and in an area where airflow can flow freely (i.e. not between the couch and the wall). This was easy to assemble.. it simply required taking the filter out of the plastic and placing it in the purifier and plugging it in. I would say given its pricing and ability to be purchased via HSA, it’s an excellent value for the money. After two weeks, I can say the air smells notably better and it’s an excellent addition to the house. I just purchased a second one for the upstairs after trialing the first. I will be back to update in a couple weeks.

One of the best!! I’ve seen such a big reduction in dust. I live in apartments, on a lower level. And since I’ve been using this I don’t see a huge build up of dust in blinds and furniture. Also helped with my shedding dog and dog odor in home. Air smells fresher. The size is decent. It’s for a large room so that fits. My daughter who has allergies says her room doesn’t give her the sniffles now! Which is huge. Deeply recommended!

Love them! In fact I bought 3 for my house, they are amazing. They clean the air like crazy, you will be amazed when you pull the filters out and clean them. They are also very quiet.

Game changer for my allergies. I have 3 dogs and am allergic to dogs 😂 this helps a ton. I've noticed a big difference in my symptoms since getting it and it's helping to reduce the dust in our home too. Love that you vacuum the filter too. Great investment. We're buying one for each of the bedrooms now too.

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and two teenagers, and my house doesn't smell like I have that many due to this filter. When we took out the filter that came with it to replace it, the filter was full of pet hair and was so gross, but you could tell that it had really been filtering good. We replaced the filter, and it's back to working amazing.

Love this product my allergies went away as soon as I started using it. It clears odors from my home when I cook. It’s a little bit loud when it’s running at full speed, but I use this product every day love the plasma light I use that during cold seasons have not had to see the doctor for a cold since I got this product. gets four stars because the light on the front is annoying at night, but you can’t cover it up or put it in sleep mode.
