Experts stated this was the one of the best on the market. I am a heavy attractor to mosquitos and so is my son. Sprays with deet work great but it isn't exactly comfortable slathering that stuff on. This device came with a small butane bottle and 3 repellant cartridges. Set up of the device was very easy and batteries were not required. The batteries are used for the light for ambiance. The lantern looks great out doors and is fairly effective at keeping mosquitos away. I have noticed that if the device is sitting on the table i will get a random mosquito that makes it under the table but much much less than would normally be around. We have a small covered patio and it works great for us there. If i were to bring it into the open backyard it is not as effective but definitely helps lower the amount of mosquitos around us. Much more effective than citronella and other repellants.
