Would not recommend actually attempting to use as a cane. Also yes My 12 yr old wanted this for his costume this year. It is made all out of plastic so it is nice and light. It comes in 2 pieces- basically right in half of the cane where it screws together. The top alien skull is fixed to the top half of the cane. The cane is purely decorative because the skull will bend and probably ultimately break if too much weight is put on it. The skull is make out of soft moldable plastic so it can give and bend a bit.
