I also got the Snap Circuits "Jr" kit, and was briefly concerned that I had duped a purchase, because that kit has a motor and a fan, also. The good thing is that this unit has a three-battery powercell, while the other unit has only a 2 battery cell, and it cannot make the fan spin fast enough to take off. We've used this power cell on the other board, and made two fans take off, which was fun. Also, the fans are a bit delicate, so its good to have a backup in case something breaks... he's 5, and he's reasonably careful, but he has a younger brother, and things can happen. Over all, this was a good addition to the larger set, and we've combined the components that come with this set that the components in the larger set. The units snap together, and seem quite durable, except for the fan itself, with seems a bit delicate, but holds up to normal use very well. I will be looking for more kits in the near future, and look forward to a lot of fun with these things! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars The best intro kit that is fun to play *by I***N on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2015* I own 3 snap circuit kits - Extreme, 300, and Lights. I got this little mini kit, so my son would have something fun to play with in his room and stop bringing up the other kits and getting pieces everywhere. This is hands down the most fun circuit in all the kits. The price is reasonable. And it is a great little test/intro kit to see if you child could get into snap circuits before spending the money on the bigger kits. It comes with what you see in the picture - a small 5x7 snap board, a motor, a fan blade, a 3-snap wire, a button switch, and a battery holder that needs 3 AA batteries. It also comes with a piece of paper with 4 circuit variations on it. This is officially on my list for toys to get for boys for the birthday. My son is 4 years old, by the way. His little sister who is not even 2 figured out how to position the fan blade atop the motor and loves to play it. It works like this, push the button switch to get the motor going, once released the fan blade flies straight up off the motor almost hitting the ceiling. It's fun, and we have done lots of circuits around here. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but better to get the 101 project kit *by A***S on Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2013* For what you get and what it does it is overpriced, especially when compared to the 101 kit.Anyway I bought 2 of these as projects for a 3, 5, 6 and 9 year old to be made in teams. They were super excited about it AND it did what it said it would do. So I was very happy it got them excited about electronics (sort of). The novelty does where off pretty quick and they were all like, what else does it do.I did however by the 101 kit with many more projects in it and that has been a bigger hit.
