The setting was new to me and I liked many of the details (now am dying to try Hawaiian food and to visit Salt Lake), and I liked the way the girls had new spins on classic tween family problems, and that they were a diverse bunch. This would be a good book for girls who are facing big changes or new beginnings at home or at school.
