Review: Huge fan of my Moukey pop filter! - Really like this product. Even though I feel like the mounting rings are a bit frail I give 5 stars because of the convenance and value and size. I have a setup using a Sennheiser e609 that I have mounted on a cheep spring arm and I move it between vocals and my keyboard speaker. Found a “lite” version of a traditional pop filter at Staples for $10 but it’s way to bulky for the cheap spring arm and is impossible to mount so when I came across this item it fit my need perfectally! Without the universal shock mount I wouldn’t be able to use the Moukey with the Sennheiser e609. Before I got this I mounted the Staples pop filter to the desktop and can move it in and out of position when I record vocals. After adding the Moukey pop filter I still use the combo of both for pesky siblance when I am right up on he mic. Not to say that the performance is lacking with the Moukey at all. Very happy with it. Sometimes I get right up on the mic. One thing that does happen when that close is my whiskers from my goatee snag in the Moukey. The mounting screws are nice and solid and the pop filter itself is not a massive feat of engineering but it is well enough made and functional. Great for the price. My only concern is the mounting rings. The order comes with (2) sizes which is very helpful. Once installed they shouldn’t be a problem unless you drop the mic or snag the filter on something accidentally. It’s almost nerve racking stretching the rings over the mount to install because they feel more less rubbery then plastic and feel like they could potentially snap if stretched too far. They could be some super plastic for all I know but I’d say be carful when mounting on your mic! I go back and forth when working on ideas so I am able to quickly slide the filter and the mic to what ever position I need. The shock mount is slenderical but has some reinforcement nubs that won’t allow the ring mount to sit flush. No fault of the Moukey and I am still quite able to use it without it shifting on its own. Check out th pics to see what I am talking about. I think once you get one you will see all the potential and usefulness for your recording applications. Would be great for Podcasting too!
Review: Not so sure about noise cancellations or sound quality [read] - Pop filters are designed to mostly "soften the blow" from your articulation. The "Pop" in the S, C, P, and K sounds. These are harsh on the condensing mechanisms itself. Not only that, but pop filters act as barriers for your mouth - preventing saliva from corroding the metal. It lengthens the lifespan of your microphone. I don't know about the noise cancellation or sound quality / volume control. The differences are so incredibly small, it's not necessarily worth it on those two purposes alone. I mostly bought it for the pop filter purpose. My desk is not large enough to accommodate both a pop filter plus a mic stand. I originally bought Moukey's plastic pop filter, which was kept on your microphone via plastic string and/or rubber band. I noticed one of my favorite video creators / streamers used Moukey's plastic pop filter on their blue yeti, so I got it. For THAT pop filter, it barely fit a Blue Yeti, and the bands constantly broke. So much so, that I replaced them weekly with rubber bands. I was growing rather tired from repairing it every Friday. Not only that, but I have to say - it was quite overpriced. A few weeks ago, I noticed Moukey had a new and improved pop filter, which would be this one. I have to say, it's an all-round improvement from their old filter. Significantly. I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't be five stars. It does its function and does it well. It comes with two plastic rings which can be adjusted via the screws/washers that it comes with. I don't know the exact measurements, but the larger ring can fit a big microphone such as the Yeti, while the smaller rings can fit smaller width microphones. While I don't have a list of microphones to test them on, just by fitting the plastic rings around water-bottles and cans I can safely saw that so long as your microphone isn't the size of a toothpick, a grapefruit, or a milk jug - it'll fit just fine. The material is made of three layers - metal, plastic, and foam. The combination of the three gives it a robust feeling that shows no sign of stopping or age unless you straight up use the microphone as a carpenter's hammer. The design is also neat, so that's an added plus. Overall, very nice. It was on sale at 8.99, I held off on buying, thinking it'd drop lower. Instead it went up to 12.99 - so I knew that if I didn't buy it, I'd be completely out of luck. What do you know - it's out of stock. Five stars.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits the Yeti X like a charm
*by J***I on March 26, 2021*

I would say its 'pop' reduction is not as good as a large filter, but it is effective. I have this AND a cheaper 6' ring filter and together pretty good. The ring lock is plastic... good because it allows to form a little to the non-circular shape of the yeti X. The Shield is metal and covers the Yeti X mic head perfectly (couldn't be any smaller, larger would look awkward). Looks great. The only complaint I would have is there is no way to lock the shield, so if you move/touch your mic a lot, it will easily swivel. Since the screw clamps onto the metal ring, over-tightening may crack it. Small detail. Crazy low price though.
