I purchased this to replace my Russound speaker selector which did not allow me to control the volume in my livingroom, bedroom, basement and patio. I can now use this along with my Onkyo app and the Logitech Harmony Ultimate Remote and hub to select which of the four areas I want to hear my music and to adjust the listening volume. As other reviews have noted, this unit comes with a remote but does not have a built-in IR receiver thus the remote is useless unless you obtain an IR receiver and install it in one of the four IR Inputs. In order to control the DLA4 with the Harmony remote and hub, purchase a 2.5mm mono male audio cable. If you cannot find a 2.5mm male then purchase a 3.5mm mono cable along with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm mono adapter. Be sure that it is MONO and NOT stereo. Cut the audio cable in half to expose the bare wires on one end. There should be only 2 conductors within the black sheath. Insert one end of the wire in any of the four GRN input slots on the DLA4 and the other wire in the corresponding IR input slot. Next, plug the 2.5mm connection tip of the cable into the IR out on the back of the Harmony hub. Next, you will need to visit the Logitech site and add the zones of Aton DLA4 which are available in their database as 'ATON DLA4', 'ATON DLA4 (Room 2)', 'ATON DLA4 (Room 3)', 'ATON DLA4 (Room 4)'. You will have to add each of them as separate devices to your account to control the other zones. I used this for a Multi-room system for someone who had thier house wired by a "pro" but neglected to run any cables for anything other than speakers. The "pro" wanted to install a $11,000 crestron system that was far-far overkill for what they wanted. I was able to use this, a Onkyo Stereo amp, and a few other pieces to build exactly what they wanted for 1/5th the price.Was able to use to be able to set room volume seperately for each zone, all via remote. Preset mode is excellent. Manufacturer has entire IR code library online in Pronto and URC formats, so setting up was a breeze.Has seperate IR inputs for each zone, so an IR panel can be used it each room to control just that room, or can use the code library and control any zone for anywhere.Only complaint was no built in IR on the unit itself.. HAVE to use an IR distro system or RF to IR converter. Was a little pricey, but seems to be the only one on the market with its abilities, so they do have the right to charge for it. The Included remote is a joke as well, but pretty much everyone is going to be using some sort of universal anyways. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product. I use it to control speakers in four zones of the first floor of my house. Note, it does not come with an IR receiver.
