I'm surprised how much I like this dashcam. I wanted an inexpensive dashcam that also had an inside the cabin camera as I may be doing rideshare during the day and wanted that for safety reasons. Installing with the suction cup mount has been very sturdy. That was a concern of mine since I live in the Desert and the heat can often loosen these types of mounts. It's been up for a couple days and in the sun as has stayed firmly on the windshield. The picture is clear and at 30fps it's very smooth. Definitely good to capture the events of an accident. I do wish I could be a tad sharper, but for the price it's a very clear picture and when the sun is shining in front it doesn't wash out the picture like some other cams can do. The cabin/inside camera is decent as well. I'm glad I took a chance with this unit.

This is my 3rd COOAU dashcam. They are great quality, affordable, easy to operate, and easy to install. The D30S has an useful suction cup mount that does away with the 3M tape, so it's easy to move around to get the best angle. The screen and video quality is great, too. The app is user-friendly and connects my phone to the dashcam to access videos and settings. I've had it installed for about 2 weeks now, and have had no issues.I upgrade this unit from an older COOAU model, and it took me less than 5 minutes. I was able to use the existing power cable and once I mounted it to the windshield, I just connected it to the existing app on my phone. Simple!We started using dashcams for our safety. We like the peace of mind they provide us.

EDIT 02-28-24: Just bought another one for my wife Lisa...She absolutely loves it as it works great to record the trails she goes in with her Jeep Wrangler!!!02-11-24:I just received the COOAU Dashcam D30S and so far it's performed exactly as stated...I installed it on my 2021 GMC Sierra, just to the left and slightly behind the rear view mirror, using using the GM taped mounting bracket. The suction cup mounting bracket seems to work well, however I wanted to use the lower profile one.I plugged the dash cam into the USB port instead of the 12v adapter port (GMC Sierra's 12v adapter port is always on unless you move a 50 amp fuse). Upon turning it on I found the menu was easy to navigate and quickly set the dash cam up.I installed the Ficam app on my phone and was able to quickly connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi. I did notice that if you want to use the app outside the vehicle you will have to disconnect the dash cam and reconnect it to a micro USB (close to your phone) whenever you want to use the app. I can understand this as the dash cam has to be on when downloading video to the app.GPS seems to work okay, however I have noticed that when sitting still, especially inside a garage, the display sometimes shows that the vehicle is moving approximately 1 mph.So far the video looks very good on the small viewing screen and through the app. I've only had it installed for a day and have not used it a lot, so time will tell.The bright blue power and blinking red recording light are a little bit annoying when it is dark, however a small piece of electricians tape can take care of that. There's still a red dot on the screen that blinks when they dash cam is recording.I did not want to hardwire the dash cam to my vehicle at this time, as you need to purchase the wiring separately, so I guess it will not be using the parking mode (maybe at a later date).Pros:... Small profile... Easy to install with various options... Accepts up to 256 GB micro SD... Both cameras have good video... Can record front of vehicle, inside vehicle or both... View screen can show front of vehicle, inside vehicle, PIIP front of vehicle main or PIIP inside vehicle main... View screen can be set to turn off or go into screensaver mode... Navigation through the settings is very easyCons:... Blue power light and red blinking recording light are bright and annoying... Wiring harness to hardwire and be able to use parking mode has to be purchased separately... No internal battery, which would be nice to keep from having to hardwire dash cam to vehicle

This camera is great. It gives me a clear picture of the front and interior of the car. It was super easy to set up and get in my car. I love that it came with a cigarette lighter adapter so I didn’t need to get anything hard wired and the cord it came with is so long. The only downside is that the app keeps disconnecting from the camera when I try and view videos but it’s an SD card so it’s easy to pop it in the computer

After less than 3 months, unfortunately my dash cam stopped working. Maybe California heat played a role, but it couldn't charge. After I reached out to customer support of the product, they were swift to response with possible solutions and ultimately, mailed me a new dash cam at no costs. I am very impressed with their customer service and the new camera works well. Would recommend.

First unit arrived defective - and seller quickly exchanged it.Second unit was good - but with the substantial design problems below.Finally got the very specific sd card required for this unit - not included and needed to buy separately - and now the unit is fully set up - so ready to use the app.Downloaded the Ficam app - which is the only way to get into the settings - and the app does not work.No way to set up an account with the way it is designed - and just an endless loop of error messages.Because the Seller was responsive enough to refund the cost of this unit due to all the issues, I can afford to throw this unit in the garbage.Wasted enough time on this badly designed dash cam - will be buying the next one from a major manufacturer off Amazo - learned my lesson here.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Previous review:The COOAU Dash Cam D30 has great picture quality and I really like the built in camera to easily record the interior - but the dash cam needs some design improvements:1.the power cord plug that goes into the cigarette lighter outlet does not have a usb port to also charge your phone in the car - the dash cam plug hogs the whole thing, unlike other manufacturers that design that as standard2.the settings menu is very difficult to get to once you put an SD card in - the unit starts recording and does not allow you into settings, so you have to take out the SD card and set up the unit like the first time if you ever want to change a setting or you have to contact customer service for a better answer than in the manual3the Ficam app to use the wifi features is rated "3.2" on the PlayStore and the most recent reviews say it is full of glitches and causes many problems on phones it is used on - so proceed with caution.On the plus side the unit is one of the few that is designed to record forward and interior in one unit without running lots of cables and when I contacted customer service they were very responsive and addressed each concern.

I’ve been using this dashcam for about a year now, and it has worked great overall with clear video quality and reliable recording. Recently, I had an issue with the unit, and I contacted customer service expecting a long process. To my surprise, the support team was very responsive, professional, and easy to work with.They quickly helped troubleshoot the problem and ended up replacing my dashcam even though I had purchased it a year ago. The replacement process was smooth, and they kept me updated the entire time. It’s rare to find a company that truly stands behind its product like this.Great product and even better customer service. I highly recommend this dashcam brand to anyone looking for reliability and support after the sale.

I'll start by saying I really wanted to love this camera. It checks all the boxes of what I look for in a dash cam and has a bunch of cool and useful features - dual HD, GPS, wifi, parking mode, super capacitor, WDR, EV adjustments. It is super light, stylish, takes up to a 128g SD card, has a good microphone and has a pretty nice picture at the price point. Main camera performance at night is alright, nothing super. I did really like the wide angle, especially on the interior camera, as it allows you to see out the side windows as well. I was initially very happy with it!Unfortunately, as a part-time rideshare driver, I need a camera with great night vision for the interior cabin. The D30 was acceptable when there was at least some ambient light from businesses or street lights but in heavy darkness, the view narrowed down and looked like a parascope or something (see attached picture). This was a huge step down from my 5 year old Blackvue 650s in terms of night vision. Full disclosure, it is possible I received a defective product. I spoke with COOAU and they said it was normal, but asking the question here on Amazon, the answer was the opposite and everyone stated this was not normal behavior. Turning on WDR did little to help and setting the EV value to maximum exposure helped but I would have to toggle it back manually during the day or the video would be totally washed out.There are a few minor drawbacks as well at least in my opinion. If you would prefer your dash cam to be more incognito, this is not really possible with the D30. There are two LEDs (red and blue) that cannot be turned off, but you can at least place black duct tape over them if you want. Unfortunately, the screen does not have an option to be turned completely off. It can only be placed in screensaver mode that displays the speed. COOAU does actually have firmware updates for the camera, but as of July, they did not have them available on their website. You must email support and they will send you the latest firmware. Lastly, sometimes you will encounter a weird issue when you come to a traffic light, certain car tail lights or e-billboards where upon playback, you'll notice an obvious pulsing or flickering of those lights.All in all, it is a good product for all the features that you get at the price. If it were not for the terrible IR performance, I would probably still be running it. Thankfully, Amazon has an amazing return policy. I got a very good buy on the 3-channel Vantrue N4 (an establish brand in dash cameras) and now have that instead. Please comment on this review if your experience with the night vision was different as it may help others.

Totalmente contento con la cámara!, al vincularla con la aplicación, prácticamente te lleva de la mano, todo lo hace ella, perfectamente diseñada, se manipulan de manera muy cómoda los videos, la calidad de video hacia el exterior e interior del carro es excelente, abarca un tremendo rango al exterior, y lo suficiente al interior.Llego rápido, es el modelo que se indica "Dash cam D30 COOAU", tuve mis dudas en que me llegara una distinta, ya que ni en la propia pagina de la marca de la cámara esta disponible, por esa razón lo dude.La recomiendo a un cien por ciento, la he usado poco, han sido apenas 25 días, pero ha funcionado a la perfección, al encender el carro empieza a funcionar, y al apagarlo, pasa como un minuto y se apaga, tiene diferentes funciones que también fácilmente se pueden manipular.Super contento con esta compra, hubiese deseado que la cámara fuera ligeramente mas pequeña, pero no es algo que afecte, cuando la gente ve el carro, lo primero que hace es ver la cámara ya que es muy notoria, al estacionarlo en alguna plaza comercial, tiendo a quitarla, cosa que no es cómodo, ya que los robos están al por mayor y quiero evitar rompan un vidrio y me roben mi cámara que tan feliz me tiene y sobre todo por que su costo no es bajo.El audio que graba, si es de baja calidad, y el audio es parte importante en alguna situación en la cual se podría llegar a necesitar como prueba, pero lo que se escucha, pues es aceptable de alguna manera.No duden en pedirla, es mas que necesaria en los tiempos que vivimos, ya que un video o incluso un audio, podría evitarnos muchos problemas, para demostrar lo contrario. Saludos y si mas adelante llego a detectar algún detalle, se los hare saber.

Por el momento todo funciona perfectamente bien. No he tendido problema con el producto. Lo recomiendo

Me gusta porque puedo grabar recorrido y los que van en el carro, útil para consultar situaciones que pasan durante el camino..

A los 7 meses dejo de funcionar, no la recomiendo me intento comunicar con el proveedor y no responden, no gasten su dinero no funciona
