Wilson Traditional Soccer Ball

I bought this ball for a non-traditional use: my miniature donkey LOVES to roll and toss balls, and slightly deflated soccer balls seem to be easiest for him to grab. We've had this one for several months now, and it has withstood his rough play extremely well. In fact, I'm back to buy another so we have a backup in case our first gets lost. I definitely recommend!

Purchased these to deflate and put into the 2017 Christmas shoe box project. The boxes are sent around the world to children who have nothing. When my daughter went on a Mission trip to Honduras with her church, she witness first hand children playing soccer with rolled up aluminum foil or papers wadded together and tied, etc. This broke my heart and so I have tried to buy several soccer balls and the pump kits to put into the 10-14 year old shoe boxes. I am sure the child who receives a box with the soccer ball, pump, hygiene items, underwear, school supplies, etc. will be thrilled and have a huge smile. Samaritan's Purse has this project and sees that the boxes are delivered to children in villages, orphanages, etc. They are not affiliated with the church I attend, but it is such a worthwhile project and these Wilson Soccer Balls are perfect. I had shopped around and found the best price here on Amazon.

I bought this in the size 3 for my soon to be 3-year-old soon. He absolutely loves this ball, and he has used it every day since we bought it. It seems very durable, and it is of great quality for the price. It is so good for the price that we are going to buy a size 5 for us to play with (since that is the adult size).If you are unsure of which size to get your child, I will recommend what size I think based off real-world use. The size 3 is good for any child until about first grade or second grade, which is when a child should move into a size 4. The size 4 should last until they get to middle school (around 6th or 7th grade), and then they would move into the adult official size 5. It is also important to note that the balls will get a little bigger as they are used more and more, so a size 3 ball could actually end up being close to the size of a size 4 ball if it is used long enough.

I bought three and used them for juggling, shooting practice and kicking against a wall. I juggled 90,000 times in 3 months, and shot many times on goal and kicked against walls. These are very durable. I look for durability in practice balls and these are superb. I wonder if Wilson has the newer cover pattern with the same internal structure in any model of ball. It would be wise to do that for the sake of staying current. I love the feel when kicking. Variable amounts of air can be used based on personal preference while practicing. A little less air allows a more forgiving bounce while juggling.

This is a VERY tough soccer ball. My Siberian Husky likes to play soccer and usually we only get to play with an inflated soccer ball for a day or so before psssst and then we play with a squished ball. This ball has yet to pop despite her teeth routinely getting stuck. I almost wish it would pop but it doesn't. If you are hard on soccer balls this is the ball you want.

UPDATED REVIEW 8/30/2018The last batch of these balls that we received was ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. The outer cover material on ALL of the newest balls was peeling off and tearing within the fist couple of uses. The balls are falling apart and ready to be replaced after just a couple hours of use. I'm downgrading my original 4-star rating to just 1-star until the ball quality returns to what we experienced with earlier batches.ORIGINAL REVIEWWe buy dozens of these balls every year for our bubble soccer company. For the price, it generally can't be beat. Most of the 1-star reviews seem to be for single purchases where they received a defective ball. So far, the only defect we've experienced with these balls (hence, the 4-star instead of 5-star rating) was a couple of balls that started showing a different color material at the seams after several uses. Evidently, the ball material was previously a different color other than white and the material was re-dyed at the factory before the balls were manufactured. This only happened on a couple of balls purchased about a year ago. No other balls in more recent purchases have had this problem.

A little disappointed in the cosmetics of the ball. I ordered three to ship in the Christmas shoe-boxes so had to remove them from their boxes and deflate them. Each ball had a light brownish stain about 4 inches in diameter. I don't know if they had been sitting in a warehouse for some time or what, but the stain was fairly visible. I figured they were get a lot dirtier within the first few days of use but still did not like sending them with this cosmetic defect.

Bought these to send in OCC boxes along with a pump. While they took up a lot of space in the shoe boxes, I'm told soccer balls are always a huge hit. These seemed like decent quality for the price. Hoping they hold up well for their recipients.

Not bad. If I had a choice, I would make it a tad harder. It loses just a bit of air and turns into a kid's toy.

I bought 5 size ball that was Unusable after 1 game. This ball is only for small kids !

I bought 12 for my U9 team. Holds air well and great for practice. Even use them as game balls.
