The main material, medium density composite wood, is made from recycled materials of rubber trees. All the materials are manufactured in Malaysia and compliant with CARB regulations. There is no foul smell, durable and the material is the most stable amongst the medium density composite woods. Do you not use a measuring tape to see how small this will be in your home? Yes, this is a pretty small end table... but it's as promised. And I actually like the compact size. Anything bigger just tends to become a place for clutter. This keeps things simple, and it's small and light enough to move easily as needed. The little drawer is *fabric* (again, people, READ before you buy!), and it just sits in its space, but it's perfect for a few little items. As for the construction, mine is not flimsy or unsteady at all, and it was easy to put together (about 20 minutes). In fact, I use it as a stand for a 40" TV that weighs about 20 pounds. Perfectly minimalistic.

Interesting the complaints here about the size. Do you not look at the measurements before you buy? Do you not use a measuring tape to see how small this will be in your home? Yes, this is a pretty small end table... but it's as promised. And I actually like the compact size. Anything bigger just tends to become a place for clutter. This keeps things simple, and it's small and light enough to move easily as needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ You get what you pay for.

This night stand was exactly what I was looking for. It's little but functional, looks modern without being pricy, was easy to set up (as a female with no experience building anything...ever), and is perfect for holding remotes and a lamp. The drawer is the perfect size for makeup remover wipes and eye drops or other things like that, or even run a phone charger cable through the back and charge your phone in the drawer. Although the price was low for a nightstand, I'm pretty disappointed in the quality of the one I received. Unfortunately I needed it then for guests and couldn't return it. The directions are slightly misleading as they are for a product with plastic parts when the ones included are wooden so it seems like there are missing pieces at first. The "wood" paneling on the top was peeling off already and I could remove almost the entire piece on the legs. The sides and corners were visably scuffed and there was a large scratch and indents on the top piece, which luckily was easily covered by a lamp. It's perfect for temporary furniture until something better is affordable, or for a children's room where you wouldn't want pricy furniture to get damaged. It may not be perfect looking but it is convenient and holds everything I need at bedside reach.
