Wonderful Massage Stick - relieves muscle tightness
I love this massage stick. It's the perfect size for me. The stick rolls smoothly on my legs, neck and shoulders. You control how much pressure to use. It has helped to relieve my tight muscles as I recently had a total knee replacement and my muscles are very tight from the surgery. The massage stick is more helpful relieving muscle tightness/stiffness than foam rollers. It's easier to use and I don't have to be on the floor. The quality of the massage stick is excellent and I can tell it will last for many years. I wish I had gotten this years ago. Great product!

The Tiger Tail 18in Massage Stick Portable Roller is a game-changer! It’s incredibly effective for relieving muscle tension, soreness, and stiffness. The stick is lightweight and portable, making it easy to use anywhere — at home, at the gym, or even on the go. The rolling action is smooth, and the design allows for a deep, targeted massage, which is perfect after a workout or long day. It really helps with my recovery and has become a go-to tool for keeping my muscles relaxed. Highly recommend this roller for anyone looking for an easy and efficient way to relieve muscle tightness!

Still Going Strong After Years of Use — Worth Every Penny
Get it. Seriously. I’ve had this since 2020 and I still use it regularly, which says everything about the quality. This thing is incredibly durable and sturdy—it has held up through years of workouts, sore muscles, and being tossed into gym bags without any issues. I love that it’s handheld because I don’t have to get down on the floor like with traditional foam rollers. It’s easy to target exactly where I need relief, whether it’s my legs, back, or shoulders. The pressure is firm but effective, and it really helps loosen tight muscles and reduce soreness before and after workouts. It’s also lightweight and portable, which makes it perfect for travel or quick recovery sessions at home. You can tell it’s well made and designed to last. After using it for this long, I can confidently say this is one of those rare fitness tools that actually holds up over time. I’d absolutely buy it again and highly recommend it to anyone dealing with muscle tightness or soreness.

A little pressure goes a looooooooong way.
I have no idea what's wrong with me, but it seems the closer I get to 30, the more my body aches. It could be my desk job, and whatever it is, it sucks. I'm always trying random things to try to help my muscles, or work them out naturally somehow, so when I saw this with the crazy good reviews I figured I'd check it out. I originally started looking at a different stick (the name fails me currently, as it's been a while). At that time, I was searching Amazon for reviews, and the reviews on that one said the Tiger Tail was the way to go, so why not test it out? I was excited when it arrived, because I was ready to roll myself out, but quickly realized even doing an against-the-wall roll with it (against your back) wasn't really going to work for me personally. I rolled out my thighs, and the back of my calves. I was able to work out my upper arms for the most part, as well as kind of getting into my shoulders and of course my neck without issue. I can get my lower back, but it's a bit painful because I can't figure out the best way to grip it and apply the correct pressure from behind me. At that point, I decided it would be a girls night trial. We always have a couple people around and they're always into whatever new toy I have. Rolling everyone out (lay down on a waist-height bed or couch of some sort, and let someone roll you from head to toe basically), everyone enjoyed it. It does take a bit to find the right pressure to apply per person. I noticed that for my sore spots (small of the back, right knee, and the neck) it's rough to go over. It's that painful relief deal. I have to go super soft in those spots, and even on other spots, light pressure is pretty beneficial with the stick somehow. Most of the girls had no problem and enjoyed the mini massages. I did have one that felt even the lightest rolling was a little too rough for her. I think this is a build up tool, the more you do it, the better your body responds. The bar consists of two pieces, you have the handles, and then the center part (what you roll on yourself) spins. I think this helps mimick a rolling pin, instead of just taking a standard stick or pvc pipe and trying to use it on your own. This allows a smoother roll out than something that doesn't move. It is some kind of 'foam' as the stick, but it's a very very dense/stiff foam so it's a painful 'feels good' thing. I think if you have someone that you can stick with doing this daily, you'd probably see some improvement. I don't really have an every day buddy yet. If that happens, I'll definitely update here.

The best!
I was first introduced to the Tiger Tail at the Chicago marathon expo a few years ago. At the time, I was going through physical therapy for my plantar fasciitis and other foot issues. My therapist said my tight calves and hamstrings were contributing to my foot issues and said stretching every day would be essential. At the expo there were a lot of vendors there with different types of massaging tools. The Tiger Tail people caught my attention the most because their massaging roller looked the most well made and didn't have the rollers that might get caught in your clothes or on your skin. One of their workers demonstrated how to use the roller and tried it on my tight calves. Afterwards I felt so much more loose and I ended up buying the roller there. Since then I've used it almost every day to loosen up my muscles. What I like is that you can use this roller anywhere on your body where you feel tense. It works on your back, neck, shoulders, legs, etc. It's super easy to use, well made and portable. I take this thing with me whenever I travel. I was heartbroken when I left my roller during a recent vacation in Japan, which is why I ended up buying another one on Amazon. The materials are still the same and still works great. I definitely recommend this roller. It doesn't replace my stretching, but it's a great complement to it and you'd get your money's worth.

Way better than budget alternatives.
Put it this way, if your PT uses a certain thing and they tell you they use that for all their patients, then you know you should be getting it yourself. My PT uses this particular brand over other brands because she said they're way more effective at "hitting the right spots" when it comes to muscle knots. I have problems with my hamstrings, calves, and quads because of a knee condition called chondromacia patella (the joint in your knee doesn't like to 'stay in place'). I suspect part of what caused it is because of the muscles around it being so tight. This helps to get to those knots. I got "The Long One", which allows me to use it on hard-to-reach areas like my neck, lower back, etc. This size may be too big if you're petite to medium sized - I'm a big guy so this was perfect for me. I suggest getting two sizes - one for when you're reaching those hard-to-get-to groups and another for easy places like your hamstrings and quads. The whole thing feels pretty high quality. Handles are hard, hard plastic (Think PVC but thicker), foam is firm and hard yet soft enough to not cause you agony. The flat aspect of the foam means you'll get an even massage no matter what part of the roller you use. The roller feels very high quality - it's made in the US so you really can't go wrong with it. This alongside my PT "maintenance" exercises and a stretch strap has helped to keep my pain at bay. Don't cheap out on these - get the best. You deserve it.

Great Little Roller
I use this everyday, especially after my workouts which helps speed up the recovery process. Since using it, it has helped with my plantar fasciitis in my feet and my sore/tight muscles. This roller was exactly what I was looking for and rolls smoothly as I use it. I definitely recommend it since the price wasn’t bad either.

Excellent quality, and doesn't bend. Gives a great muscle stretch out
22" long one. I do not normally write reviews, though I felt compelled to on this. 1. I love the quality. It is American made so no surprises there 2. It just works exactly as it should 3. Does not squeak 4. is wide enough to massage the larger back muscles What would I change? 1. Some more comprehensive tuition on how to use it from the manufacture on Youtube. There are loads of other videos out there, though I would love to see some more detailed ones from Tiger Tail. I will be buying the small one for travel. I love it... Consider a Thumper Pro Mini to work in conjunction with this as part of your cool down and recovery routine.
