So far everything works great, although you have to watch the bubble solution level because when it runs low the whole thing just starts foaming. I purchased some inexpensive bubble solution from Target and it works just fine. Lots of bubbles! The penguin sits on a flat surface and is steady. I haven't used it in the bath yet, but there is a large suction cup attached to the back for this purpose. The back has a plate which has to be removed with a screw driver to insert the batteries into a water proof spot, and to start the bubbles you just push a little button on the top. To clean up I empty the remaining bubble solution in the sink, rinse out the area where the solution is poured, and let the whole thing air dry before storing.
