I'm wondering about embroidering a name on it or maybe an iron on.** A: There is no gel in the flap, there is however what seems to be a thin layer of foam inside of the flap. **Q: Is it possible to clean the fabric outside the bag? How?** A: My kids seem to leave about half of their lunches inside their pack-its, so I have to wipe the inside out every day. I'll admit that I'm not great at cleaning the outside all the time, so it really doesn't get any attention at all. These do start to smell a bit like a sweaty elementary-aged child after a while, so when that happens I do a deep clean in my sink with water and dish soap. I submerge the whole thing and scrub it and it's gross how much dirt comes out! It takes forever to get the soap all out, which is the biggest headache with these as far as I'm concerned, but it hasn't stopped me from buying these over the past five years or so. **Q: Does it have a small pocket for non lunch items? (like headphones, train pass, etc)** A: Nope. No pockets anywhere. That, to me, is a major design flaw. Check out my review I posted yesterday, for more info. :) **Q: Is this made in the usa or china? thanks.** A: The actual label says China. You can get these same items at Meijer for the same price as Amazon. We have this in our freezer at all times, and it keeps food cold for hours so that it is not necessary to refrigerate once you get to work. This lunch bag folds up into a very compact size, so it does not take up much room in the freezer. Once frozen, it is still very easy to unfold and open to put your food inside.Pros:1. Stays cold for hours. Hours. Seriously. This thing is efficient! Even after almost 2 years of daily use, it still works as well as the first day I used it.2. Saves our family money on going out to lunch. This has really saved our family money because there are days we may not have access to a refrigerator while out, and this still allows us to pack a lunch and not go out. Huge money saver!3. Lightweight. With everything else you have to lug around to work or wherever, it is nice that this is very lightweight.4. Compact. Freezer space is always at a premium for us, and this lunch bag does not take up much space at all.5. Great quality. This lunch bag has lasted almost 2 years and still works great.Cons:1. I work 7 days a week and have 2 jobs. First is a 5 day 8AM-5PM office job as an Azure Engineer, and my second is as a 6:30AM-6:30PM HVAC Maintenance worker for a major motor manufacturer. I guess you can say I feel for both blue and white collar workers and this is great for both.I can say that is lunch box is a key component of both my work bags, it's simple, easy to clean, packs down small, and can hold a lot! It's like having a mini fridge in my backpack, keeps my food frozen until lunch time, and drinks cold all day. The way I pack it is not using it to max capacity as I'm not organizing it the best way, but it holds all I want.I pack the Frozen Meal the out of the box and write the cooking times on the plastic seal as there's no need to vent, then freeze the lunch box. Take it out the day after and pack the rest before I leave.IK, my diet is awful but it's cheap at $6 a day for 2 weeks, all this snackage, and keeps me from using delivery services.
