The PVC description threw me, I was not sure if it was going to be a hard PVC material that is very ridged, it's not, it is very heavy duty and flexible. It weighs a ton. Rolled out smooth and stays in place well on the carpet. Definately protects the floor from dropped weights, but flexible not to break or crack. Only negative is that in the first week of use (five workouts with dumbbells) it started to show signs of scuffing. It has a nice glossy finish and where I had dropped weights it immediately got scuffed. In my fourth week of use and it's not bad, but unexpected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a workout mat! *by C***E on April 2, 2016* I bought this to put in garage as padding for when I do cardio videos. No such luck! This is a great mat for under heavy equipment, but I returned it and got normal foam for what I wanted. Still 5 stars for good quality and description.
