Klein tools is an American company where I understand it is a well known brand, this product is also manufactured in the USA. My first impression of this was how big and heavy it was, as it holds 240 feet of metal fish tape it's not surprising that it's quite heavy. The outer casing and handle are made from a very tough high impact nylon material which should stand up to a rough working environment. The fish tape is made from high strength carbon steel, the end is hooked making it easy to attach a cable to it for pulling. What I find is a good feature is that on top of the fish tape is a measurement marking that shows how much of the steel is still remaining when pushed into a conduit. This measurement is laser etched on top of the tape every one foot in length. This particular tool has a working length of 240 feet which is a considerable length, you may never need this amount of tape but I always feel it's best to have more in reserve than none at all. At first glance this may look a little plasticky, but on closer observation it's clear that this is a sturdy tool that's designed more for professionals use. It certainly has a use at home if you are perhaps rewiring a house or putting some extra cable in.
