I do multicolor picture puzzles on a regular basis, so I'm not a beginner. This book has lots of variety, and most of the time, you can tell what it is before you finish! I'm excited that I'm being challenged by each puzzle, and have only had to erase sections a few times. The colors used in here are repeated, so there's no need for a ton of pencils. I have a baggie with the 8 or 9 colors that are used, and I keep it around with the book. I am 45 puzzles in, and just getting to the long sideways ones. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the pencil lead rubs onto the other side when the book is closed, but not enough to cause a problem.To advanced enthusiasts, this is a keeper. One puzzle can take anywhere from 1-3 hrs, depending on your skill and attention! To beginners, it may be a challenge, but once you get going, you will have a ton of fun!The spiral binding makes it easy to fold in half when working on, or laying flat, depending on how you like to do the puzzles. The paper is good quality, even after erasing sections. These puzzles are not for beginners, I cannot stress that enough. I have loved these puzzles for years and complete and re-complete puzzle books so I am quite experienced at them. The Two Color Paint-doku requires a seasoned puzzle expert like myself to completely change the way these puzzles are solved (for example, in traditional Paint-doku, each number is separated by an empty space but, in two color, only like colors are required to be separated by a blank space, if a red and black number follow one another, there does not have to be any space between these two colors to solve the puzzle). On the other hand, because it is the first two-color book published by Conceptis, to my knowledge, it offers completely new puzzles and new solutions, as well as a more diverse picture in contract to the standard, old fashioned, black and white. As always, I love the puzzle book Conceptis and continue to wish you would publish more than 1 every couple of years because I simply can't get enough.
