I use this the Sonic Ultramizer in a very powerful mobile DJ system in addition to a Behringer FBQ1502 15-Band Stereo Graphic Equalizer and a Alesis compressor. I wouldnt be caught dead without either one. They all do specific things to the audio signal and when tuned correctly will give your music that great studio sound! An equalizer is by far one of your most important pieces of audio equipment. If you are trying to choose between the Ultramizer and an EQ definitely go with the EQ!
