A: Yes it can and your cup holder goes for a lot of money on eBay even used.

A: It is SUPER easy to replace. My little door broke, too, so I replaced the whole insert. The old insert pops right out with a little tug. Then you just push the new insert in.

Perfect replacement. Getting it out was a bit tricky as you have to put both your hands in and pull the whole thing out. Replacement was as simple as sliding it back in.
