Really Good
I know Sambal, I live part-time in Indonesia. I know all the different sambals. Sambal Roa, Sambal Terassi, etc. This Sambal is absolutely phenomenal. It has a strong chili flavor and a bit of sweet. I believe it's smoked, but may be some sort of chili similar to the Turkish Urfa/Isot chilli pepper. Has a bit of terassi in it that I can taste, but can't smell for some reason. Whatever it is, it's phenomenal. Not too spicy (maybe a 1-2 on a scale of 5)

Delicious!
I used this sauce on broiled shrimp. It was fabulous! It's spice but has a wonderful depth of flavor. I served it with pickled carrots, fresh cucumbers, rice, cilantro, and some crushed peanuts. And a slice of lime. I will be buying this again! I highly recommend this!!!!

Meh. Too sweet.
Just meh. It’s too sweet & no replacement for Huy Fong that’s for sure. If you like sweet chili garlic sauce maybe this is for you but that’s not what I was looking for at all. I threw it away.

This product does not meet with the high expectation I have known from Conimex. Maybe I would feel more favorable to this light colored Badjak (I am used to a much darker colored badjak made in Jogjakarta) if the cost for the small bottle was not so extravagant. Thirty US dollars for two 6 oz bottles is over priced for this product. I will continue to use Samba Oelek made here in the USA for less than 3 dollars for 18 ozs. I would be interested to hear of any change to a more realistic price for Conimex Sambals. RT

This is a chili garlic paste. I was taught it was a rice seasoning. Symbal comes in 3 heats, this is the mildest. Oleck is the hottest. I find a rounded teaspoon of paste to be perfect for a 1 cup pot of ric

As a duchy living in the UK I was desperate to find some Sambal. No shops I go to have this so I looked on Amazon. Item is expensive as the jar is quite small. Taste is amazing though!

I dislike the price! I use it any time a recipe needs a bit of heat. The heat it adds is not harsh at all.
