Back glossy, sides mostly matte with a glossy line. Just got it but seems like it would do well when dropped. Feels well built. Fits well around the phone. Nicest thing about it it's not slippery. Had to get rid of an old case because it was so slippery I kept dropping my phone. Not a problem with this one.
