I invert the covers so they don't tumble out and they click together. I am short and these are pretty much over my head but don't present problems for me to remove since they nest wonderfully well. Our rubbermaid containers needed constant reorganizing and it was like playing a demented game of jenga. I have transported containers and have yet to experience any leaks. They are easier to dry without the deep channels and big edges on rubbermaid. I'm very pleased. The sizes are great and they seal better than my old ones ever did.
