I love this saw! **See update**
It's well designed, has loads of features, and the construction feels quite robust. The included blade works very well for wood and aluminum and is ok for mild steel. If you plan on cutting a lot of steel, I would get a dedicated blade, but for occasional use, the included blade has you covered. The only "negative" I can say is the blade spins up a little slower than I'd like, but I'm pretty sure this is just a soft-start mechanism rubbing my ADHD the wrong way (it takes MAYBE 2 seconds to spin up). **UPDATE** I’ve used this saw extensively for wood and metal, and it’s performed flawlessly—clean cuts, loads of torque, and it just plain get the job done. I did have a situation where a metal cut went bad—unexpected binding led to a kick that hit the fence hard enough to crack and bend the casting. The saw itself? Still square, still solid. But the fence was done. I contacted Evolution expecting to buy a new part, and they immediately sent a parts diagram and offered to ship a replacement with zero hassle. No interrogations. No delay. Just fast, professional support. This is a serious saw for people who use their tools like they mean it. And Evolution backed it like a company that stands behind its gear. If you're cutting metal and want both performance and real support, this is the one to buy.

one of the very best ones out there for the money
Great miter saw, very accurate from the factory, support is also excellent, one of the first ones i have seen that you can adjust every setting of it, take your time with it, become friends with it, and you will love it.e

Worked Good but Blade Did Dull
Saw quality is OK, but I expected more from the blade. A few cuts through super strut went OK, but as soon as I tried to cut some 1/8" mild steel tubing, the blade got hot and went dull. Perhaps I just got a bad blade? The spec's stated up to 1/4" mild steel, but that seems unlikely with this blade. Update: Amazon stepped up and arranged to get me a new blade. I'm going to go with the steel cutting specific blade next and will provide an update after it arrives. Bumped to 4-stars, pending the blade issue.

Excellent multipurpose miter saw
Needed to miter cut a bunch of aluminum framing for a snake enclosure. I didn't have a miter saw and most void the warranty if used to cut metal so I picked this saw which is made for multiple materials. The saw was easy to setup, double checked the levels and angles and only needed some minor adjustments before starting my project. The saw did a beautiful job with the 45 degree angles with zero tearout through the extruded aluminum frames from 80/20 for this project. The cuts looked at least as clean as the ones from 80/20. I could not be happier with the results especially since no deburing was required. I am definitely looking forward to putting this saw to use for other wood and metal projects in the near future. One thing I wasn't expecting was that the US version does not include the front clamp. Most of the you tube videos I had seen must have been from the UK. Fortunately I was able to reach out to Evolution (was after hours and they got back to me within 24hrs) and they had the front clamp for purchase by itself.

Budget Friendly, but not warth the value
Where ot begin with this saw. Is this a great budget saw,,,, Maybe.. Is it low priced compared to other sliding compund miter saws, YES. But thats where it kind of ends. Value to return on investment is just not there. If you are only out there rough cutting studs or framing where a 1/16" to 1/8" dosen't really matter, then this is great for that environment. Im a Novice, just trying to get some better tools for a remodel I am working on, and I thought i was getting a good saw for what I would be doing, but i was simply mislead by reviews, youtube, reddit, etc.. The saw took forever to get setup, instructioins are terrible, terrible, and wrong. Getting the saw to cut even close to a square cut after hours of figetting with the fence, and blade adjustment is almost not worth it, but hey its what I got, I need it to work. So once all that is setup, making decent cuts, maybe within a 1/32" if lucky, then bam.. It's off again. The laszer is practically usuless.. There is adjustment for it, but not the adjustment you need. I wanted to get into cabinet building, but there is no way to do that with this saw in your shop. I of course like every person with a new toy, threw th box immediately in the garbage dumpster after opening it and getting it running, so i don't see a return in my future. I guess I just have to chalk it up to a lesson learned. Budget = 4 stars, setup = 1 Star, Accuracy = -1 Star, Holding Accuracy = -2 Stars, If evolution wants to offer a refund for this, i am taking it, absolutely, I will defintely spend more moeney for a saw I can make accurate cuts with. BTW, I spent almost 4 hours on inital setup on this saw, and I have spent probably 6 more making adjustments as it gets out of whack.

Terrific tool and even better customer service
Tool was exactly what I wanted. Not sure what went wrong, but sent it back and the company agreed to replace it based upon their inspection very straightforward no arguments. Excellent customer service.

Awesome saw, great value!
This saw works quite well. The multi-material blade does a fine job of cutting just about anything. It’s light enough to transport easily and it’s sturdy and stable. I also purchased the Evolution miter saw stand, and highly recommend it. They work perfectly together. The company’s customer service was great to deal with as well. One of the material clamps that was supposed to be packaged with the saw was not in the box. One phone call to a U.S. based call center and the part was on the way. It arrived in less than a week.

Packaging raised questions if this is a return
As the title says. The box was taped all over and my first thoughts were “yep” I bought a ****ing return without my knowledge. And when I opened the box there was like these powdery white fingerprints on everything. Again I suspect this might be a return. The blade looks fairly new but I think it’s slightly used tbh. There’s tell tell signs all over it. Anyways….I wanted to see if it actually works. It works. No burning plastic smell when I pulled the trigger so motor checks out ok…..for now. I bought this for cutting whatever.Mostly non ferrous metals to be precise. I wanted to see what this saw with the factory blade would do with aluminum. Every YouTube vid I looked at they all cut 1/4” or a size thicker aluminum. I fed it a piece of 1 1/2” x 1 1/2” 6061 solid square bar and lemme tell you that saw went through it in seconds. Was like watching a hot knife go through butter. I’m well pleased with the way just the factory blade cuts so far. Might buy more blades from evolution in the future if the prices drop any. But I don’t see that happening right away since the market is flooded with much less expensive blades that will work on this saw and achieve the same or even better performance. But who knows I might actually buy some blades from evolution and update this review….only time will tell. Long story short….I really don’t regret buying this saw it’s the things I mentioned at the top of this review that have me wondering a bit. If I had to do this again I wouldn’t buy it online. No way. It’d have to come from a retail store with a recite so I could take it back if it was junk. But I took a chance on Amazon. Last chance I’m taking with power tools on here after this was unboxed tbh
