The description says it "keeps your coffee hot and protects your hands." Why does it need to protect your hands if it keeps coffee hot, you ask? Because it conducts heat - transfers it right out of the cup immediately. Not so much that you need protection, but just enough to help its poor marketing. That is why it has the fins all around - to "protect your hands." Seriously. I knew at first pour I had made a bad decision with the instant heat transfer. I drink my coffee slowly, and this cup leaks all heat within an hour. This cup is supposedly made of coffee husks. It feels like recycled plastic, but ok. The company says it is American, but the product is sensitively made in China. Sure it is. I had to laugh at the 'green' gimmick of sending it back when you're through with it. They won't accept returns even when it's brand new because "they can't resell it."
