What is the inside made of?** A: Teflon is a trademark for PTFE. I am not sure if this coating is Teflon brand, but it definitely is PTFE or some other non-stick coating. Nothing sticks to it, after probably 100 waffles I have made on it. **Q: does this waffle maker have an australian plug?** A: No and keep the recipe for the waffle mix because nothing else works **Q: Do you have to use the piece on top to add the mix or can it be poured into the iron itself** A: The piece on top is the funnel for your mixture, the waffle iron is always standing vertical as shown in the picture! **Q: Do you have to use butter or oil/Pam before pouring the batter?** A: I use Pam on both sides of the interior. Since my batter is too thick to pour in, I lay it on the side to use this appliance. Just be very careful not to touch the opening metal funnel.
