Broke
I’ve purchased this crank twice now because it has broken. Looking at reviews, it looks like I’m not the only one. Unfortunately, I used each crank about 3-6 times. Very dangerous!

Use ONLY on Centerpoint Crossbows
For short folks with an older Centerpoint Crossbow that does not come with a built in crank system, this is a MUST. I am unable to cock my centerpoint crossbow (HEAT 425/PATRIOT 425) with the regular rope cocker as I cannot get enough pull on it as in order to provide enough pull, I need to have the handles above my shoulders in order for it to latch, which is impossible as I run out of leverage at that elevation. This device circumvents that issue and requires very little effort. Words of advice: DO NOT use on non-Centerpoint crossbows. Double check the knots to make sure they are tight and snug. Buy extra line JIC. While cranking, DO NOT allow the line to wrap itself in the inner spool where the knots are. You will be sorry. If the Power Draw was not properly stored and you end up with a crisscrossed mess of line, let all of the line out and extend the part with the gold pulleys as far as it will go and then allow that part to "somersault" over itself as many times as necessary to untwist the line. If the line has any flattened spots or kinks in it, replace it or you risk a catastrophic failure that can damage your crossbow and most likely your hands and/or face!

The 2nd one works great
So I gave it a 4 because the first one I received broke after 8 shots, the pc that slides into the mount broke but I liked the way it worked so they sent me a new one and so far so good. I really needed something because I had shoulder replacement surgery and at 8 weeks can’t pull it back yet- just be careful make sure it’s pushed into the mount and the rope is not dragging on the scope mount and it works great. A little hard to remove it because u have to hold the release button down and pull on the rope

I am updating my Review after 30 days
**UPDATE** I bought this at the end of September for bow hunting. I submitted a review after the first 2 or 3 times using this. I WAS very happy with this in the start....What happened??? I was done hunting and as always, I put my crank on so it was ready for the morning. I did NOT crank it tightly whatsoever, just snug enough so I was ready to go. The next morning, I was at my deer blind location, got out of vehicle to cock the bow and it would NOT crank. I left, came home took the crank off to inspect and see what the issue was. (It was dark out, hence why I came home to inspect). When I took it off, it instantly went into what I can only explain as a "Twisted Puzzle from Hades". I have no idea why or how this happened!!!! Every time it was off the bow, it was cranked up completely and put it into a zipped, protective case to keep it clean and to prevent any tangle. It took my Husband and myself over an hour to fix this tangled disaster and get it back onto the bow. I am so upset, and now I have Zero confidence using it! I was so very happy with the independence this product gave me!! As a woman hunter, I no longer needed to have anyone set my bow. I am SO very unhappy with the fact that I have used this product AS DIRECTED every single time, very cautious and diligent with this item. I have a deep respect for the power of my crossbow along with the product. Well, now here I am 2 days PAST my return/refund/replace timeline and am unable to hunt independently AGAIN!!! Very unhappy Woman Hunter here! **Previous Review** I have to say this has to be the best purchase I have ever made for my hunting career! I had 3 shoulder surgeries, which has left me unable to pull back my crossbow. I found this setup, it is easy to install, very easy to use and now I am an independent woman Hunter! I no longer need anybody to pull back and get my bow set for me to go hunting!!!

Replacement cocking mechanism
This works very well, I especially appreciate the ability to swap the handle to either side.

Ease of install and works perfectly.
I am very impressed. The install was easy. It pulls back nice and even with ease. I bought it because I had surgery a couple weeks ago and currently have some limitations. This is getting me back out!!! Once I am healed it is going on my fathers so he has an easier time. Thank you so much for making products like this.

Works but the rope is weak I've broke 2 strings and my 3rd I can already see it's going to break
It works nice sled gets caught up on the sled when lowering it back down once cocked. And I've now bought 3 due to the rope snapping. First one snapped after 10 times of use. Second one snapped on the first crank. And this 3rd one I was using it for 1.5 hours to get my scope sighted in. I now notice it's starting to frey. So easy to use and install but the string is complete garbage. I'm using a center point sniper elite 385 so draw weight is 185 idk if that's why but for those looking at this just know you'll need to get better rope for it

Works as described
There are 3 screws to tighten. After that, this cocking ratchet is ready. 1. To buyers that complain it doesn’t pull straight: my brand new item works well. In time, wether it failed to work prematurely or not, can’t comment for now. Is a double pulley device though-quite similar to the pull rope that comes with my crossbow. Pulleys on both sides need to turn with ease to work. 2. To buyers complaining it gets stuck in the safety lever: my pull rope also gets the pulley stuck. This is a shortcoming in the design of the safety: is located in the way of arming the crossbow string. 3. To prospective buyers: is a very well built mechanism. A sort of fishing pole ratcheting spool, but meant for extreme forces. It only slides on the bow for arming, then it slides out to live in a pouch somewhere. The metal is light, hard and well finished. The real drawback is the price, but once I’ve had this little arming tool in my hands, for as long as it keeps working I will appreciate the perfect fit on my bow.

It’s worth buying well worth it money
After convincing the post office to let me pick it up without my identification I finally got it brought it home was able to cock my crossbow for the first time and fire it of course I lost my bolt. I didn’t say it in yet, but I didn’t care other than that if you’re in trouble, cross caulking, your crossbow I suggest you buy it. It’s worth it.

Dangerous flaw
I couldn't give it 5 stars due to very serious safety issues. The mechanics of this crank work very nicely and make cocking my centerpoint heat 425 much easier. But, after cooking, you have to put your hand in the danger zone of a cooked string to remove the device. If that string let go while you were removing it, you'd lose your fingers, or worse. For this reason, it gets a 1 star. Fix the issue and it's 5 stats all day!!
