Great parking aid
My spouse was excellent at parking her last SUV but the new Defender has a different profile and barely fits in our garage with the spare wheel mounted, as it does. This neat gadget allows her to park precisely, without worry about hitting the wall or steps. If there is a downside, suggest purchasers check the setting on occasion, as sometimes the red light triggers a slight bit later and the vehicle is then a few inches in further than desired. I reset ours once and it is excellent. Highly recommend this over many others I have tried in the past with other vehicles. Update 4-20-21 Okay, I love this parking aid. So much that I ordered another as we have two full size Defender SUV's in a standard garage. These allow parking right to the max and when the red light goes on I know not only have we left enough space to walk around the front, but also to assure the garage door doesn't hit the rear mounted spare tire on the two vehicles. However, the latest purchased parking aid was quirky, flashing red continuously for no reason. The manufacturer was amazing in offering assistance and tips and when it was determined the unit was faulty, shipped a new unit as a replacement. The replacement works like a charm. 5 Stars for an excellent product and 5 more stars for unrivaled customer service! And as a tip, maybe use lithium batteries in the unit as they have a very long service life compared to other dry cells. We are using them and even after two and a half months the first unit we installed is still going strong.

Works Well, Easy to Install and set Parking Distance
I was able to install and calibrate two of these sensors in less than an hour. I found the instructions easy to follow (not always true for technical products.) The display is big enough to see clearly from far out into the driveway but is not big enough to be a nuisance in the garage. The display is only lighted when it detects something moving in front of the sensor. I did not try to operate this with battery power; I purchased two USB-A to USB-C cables along with a power adapter with USB-A ports that mounts to the power outlet on the back wall of the garage. I don't like to permanently install household items that constantly need new batteries. The photo is right after I installed the units. Once I've used them for a while and am certain that I like where they are located, I will hide the cables with cable tracks so that the installation looks professional.

Thay stand behind their product. Great Customer service.
Updated again on July 6, 2026 - Upping it up to 4 stars. Filed Warranty claim. They requested more info. I called and they were very apologetic for not responding more quickly. They sent me a replacement unit with a UPS tracking number within an hour of my call. Great customer service. Still knocking off one star for poor longevity of original unit, but they do stand behind their product. Updated to 1 Star on June 27, 2026. Worked for 4 months then failed. Original Review Works fine once you crack the secret USB code. Knocked off a star for two reasons. First, the white version works between 1' and 4', not 6" and 6' as the primary description says. I note that if you scroll all the way down to the product description AFTER you select the white color the last sentence of the product description is correct. The 4' would have worked for me, but when I plugged it into the USB cable and wall charger, it did not work. Tried different chargers, all 5V 3amp, and multiple cables, still did not work (and all charged my phone). Sent it back and ordered the black version, assuming it was actually the 6"-6' range, which it is and that worked a little better for me. USB port did not work. Figured two non-functioning USBs was unlikely and although it made no sense to me I scrounged around and found an old Apple USB A cube - 5V 1amp output just to give it a shot. That worked, unfortunately I didn't have a USB A to USB C cable longer than 12". The product description says that it works with a "Standard USB Cable". There is no such thing. There are USB A, B, C, Micro, Mini, maybe more. There is also no such thing as a Standard wall charger. Why it doesn't work with a 3amp charger makes sense to me, but it doesn't. Ordering the adapter for my longer C to C cable was no big geal, but the trip to Kohls for an unnecessary return was a nuisance that could have been resolved with one correct sentence in the description: "Works with USB C cable and 5 volt 1 amp charger".

USB Defective
I had one a few years ago and really liked it. Bought the new and improved one. Bought USB block and cord so I didn’t have to mess with batteries. Bought screws to mount it because the adhesive gives out after a while. Got it mounted, plugged it in and it didn’t work. The USB is defective as reported in other reviews. Works fine on batteries. Found a different one on Amazon which costs significantly less and comes with a USB charger and screws. I wouldn’t buy this one until they fix the improvements.

You have to try this.
For this price, wow! It works perfectly as advertised. Even your wife will want to get rid of the tennis ball. I worried about how long the batteries would last but I've been using the unit for several months and haven't had to replace any yet. And there's a port on the main unit where you can plug in a phone charger plugged into the wall that will provide constant power to the unit. But the phone charger isn't included in the package. What you do is put a 2 AA battery operated unit that outlines your license plate on the front of your car, or back if you want to back into the garage. Then you use the provided velcro to attach a little sensor to the wall at the height of the place your bumper sticks out the farthest. Then there's a four foot wire running from the sensor to the main unit and you find a place where you can see it form your car. It was all the way up for my pickup. Then you can either use the provided two sided tape tabs to attach the unit to the wall, or there is a screw slot where you can put a screw in the wall and hang the unit, which I opted to do and it works great. No screw was included though. Next you experiment a little bit with your vehicle to figure out where you want to stop it so that it will allow the garage door to close. The unit's default is set to stop you 1 foot from the wall and I found that left the back of my truck three feet inside the garage which was just right for me, so that's all I had to do. To customize, you simply figure out where you want the vehicle to come to rest, go to the main unit, and press the red button. Then that's where it will stop you every time. So when you pull in, an easy to see green light lights up and when you get a few feet away from the wall, it turns yellow. Then you slowly continue pulling in until it turns red, stop, and you will be right where you need to be every time. It's really fun at first and even later, it's a heck of an improvement over a tennis ball or some kind of block sticking out of your garage floor. I'd try one of these before I went with a much more expensive unit that works with your phone too. I'm hearing they don't sync so well. And I find this unit to work plenty good for what I want, which is just some peace of mind instead of cringing every time I close my garage door in fear that I didn't pull in far enough. And... getting rid of that ugly tennis ball. Sorry Hon.

Good product, with real flaws
The parking aid function works perfectly for me. That part I am very satisfied. However, 5 days after installation the unit blinked, a low battery warning according to the user guide. I measured the batteries with a volt meter and the batteries were still good. Unit stopped blinking and is working again. Not sure what caused it to blink. Will post an update a month or two from now. BTW, I used a picture hanger hook to hang the LED module instead of the provided VELCRO tape, making it easy to check and/or replace the batteries. Update: been over a month now, and the "low battery" flashing yellow warning happened many times. I ignored the flashing "low battery" lights, and it's been running fine. I have a suspicion the "low battery" warning was due to the cold Boston winter temperature. It's over 40F now in Boston, and it does not flash the warning any more. Still running on the same set of batteries installed a month ago. The Green to Yellow to Red distance status works very well. Sometimes, however, it skipped the Green, but good enough for me.

Makes parking a breeze - with or without the bike rack attached.
This is definitely a first-world problem, but parking the car in the garage varies dramatically between a bike rack and bikes fitted to the car vs. not. When the bikes are on the car's rear tow hitch, the car needs to be around 3 feet further forward in the garage to clear the door. A neighbor showed me this device and I immediately purchased one as they were on sale. It seems well-made and was very simple to install using the supplied Velcro for the main unit and the sensor below. There are two options for powering the unit, either 4 x AA batteries or via a USB cable. The unit is not supplied with a USB cable or power supply but most households now have a kitchen junk drawer that has plenty of these from other products. And if not they are readily available to buy at a low cost. I connect mine via the USB cable as there is an outlet close to where the unit was fitted. Setting up the parking distance is a simple case of pressing the red button on the front. I have it calibrated so I can easily judge the ideal parking distance for when the bikes are on the car, or not. Not sure how long the Velcro will stay stuck as the garage is hot during the summer but so far its staying put. Overall a great purchase.

Great device and helps park like a pro! A little smaller than I expected.
After reading other reviews I was worried about battery longevity. So I installed this using a relay attached to my garage door opener. Simply attached a 3 ft extension cord into a socket extension into the garage doors light bulb socket, the powered my relay using a mico USB. Relay has capability to shut off after a user selected time. Now when my garage door opens the parking sensor turns on and stays on for 3 mins before turning off. It turns on again when ever the laser is tripped whichnis handy for those times you open the garage door but don't park in the garage right away. Also if I'm in the garage for a long period of time working the parking sensor is off so I'm not getting the annoying flashing every time I get close to it. I may end up wiring the parking sensor to a transformer if battery life span isn't as long as I hoped.
