Searching for 2.5mm** A: That's actually a complicated question. Once the protective end is removed, the poker is hidden inside. You never see it. When you use it you place it, purple side up, to your skin and press. When you do that, the poker comes out and gets your skin which makes it bleed, of course. After the product pokes the skin, the lancet withdraws into the purple and white safety lancet. So you never see it. It really doesn't hurt. No needles seen before or after due to safety issues. It can now be disposed of in regular trash as there are no sharps visible.
