It's solid as a rock so far, it was easy to assemble the dial handles, and live center (a little tricky getting it to mount firmly). But all in all it's a really nice product. I look for two solid months evaluating lathes and frankly decided to go with this one because it was made in Germany. I also needed a small lathe and this one fits just about anywhere. I'm still waiting for the cutting tools to show up but I did get the Chuck for the Tail stock, so I mounted that and used a center bit, followed by a drill bit, to punch a hole in a five millimeter diameter bar. I have never owned or operated a lathe before, but this made it very easy to punch a hole with precision in such a small diameter bar. Check my video to see how small it is and if the size fits your needs I would highly recommend this device. It has nice balance and the speed control is smooth. The 3 jaw chuck works fine, but it has a tendency to come loose during an operation. Not a big deal, but it is noticeable. I bought a 6 mm tool carbide tool set and it fits the tool holder like a glove. The carbide has no problem even with hard steel.
