I find that it's impossible to separate the used from the unused pellets.** A: I put a *very* thin layer of litter in the box, about a pellet or two deep. That makes it fairly easy to push the dry pellets away from the wet ones and scoop out the latter. I’ve only used this litter for my 2 rescues and they are almost 1 year. My house has no smell. I dispose of their pooping and my kitties pee in one spot, so it’s easy to remove the wet spot. I love that the litter doesn’t get everywhere and stays in the box. I have 3 litter boxes for 2 cats. Maybe other cat owners are feeding bad smelling cat food, so the litter smells bad. I will never change litter.
