Ringed hooks also allow live bait to swim more naturally, and once hooked up, the hook pivoting on the ring tends to wear less of a hole in an active fishes mouth. I'm stocking up now just in case these become harder to find in the future. I've caught giant bluefins up to 400 pounds with these and to date, I have not pulled a hook on a single fish. In fact, it took some effort and a pair of stout pliers to remove a hook from the last fish we landed.
