Review: Beautiful and Functional - I love this tea kettle! I received this in the red color as a Christmas present last year and liked it so much I ended up ordering the blue color as a gift for my brother. I drink a couple cups of tea a day and my family will often use it for making hot chocolate or pour-over cups of coffee - so it often gets filled a few times a day. The 2-quart size is just big enough you can heat water for a group or a single cup without taking up an enormous amount of room on your stove top. The whistle is nice and loud, easily heard on any floor of my house which is a nice feature. The inside is also enameled which makes it very easy to clean and avoid rust, and the fact that you can remove the entire top (unlike my last kettle) makes it not only easy to clean but easy to fill as well. I've been using it for almost 7 months now and haven't experienced any rusting, discoloration or chipping of the enamel, dripping, or faulty mechanisms. Only thing I would add is a set of markings on the inside so you can measure the water while you fill the kettle - but that would just be a bonus. It's so pretty and functional you just can't go wrong!
Review: The handle is too short, that is, it ... - The handle is too short, that is, it does not curve far enough to the back. (In other earlier versions the handle originated in the back and curved forward, which was better). The consequence is that, when the kettle is full) it is difficult/awkward to pour from and it tends to dribble as you pour. Also, the handle definitely heats up (my stove burner use gas), enough so that you need to use a pot-holder. The kettle does its job (boils water) but it it is so awkward and inconvenient that I intend to buy a replacement.

The handle is too short, that is, it does not curve far enough to the back. (In other earlier versions the handle originated in the back and curved forward, which was better). ### ⭐ Total garbage.
*by B***G on November 21, 2015*

I hate this teakettle. Everything about it is bad except the appearance. It looks nice, but the quality of the metal is very sketchy (mine has rust after a mere month). Worse, the whistle works only "sometimes" and even when it works it is not loud at all. I actually just this minute ruined the kettle completely (and almost started a fire) because I never heard the almost non-existent whistle and the kettle quickly ran out of water and burned out. As other reviewers have stated, the handle gets VERY hot, much too hot to touch with a gas range. I always had to use a pot holder to pour. That brings us to possibly the most annoying part of this product: it doesn't even pour cleanly. It dribbles and drips spitting water all over the place, and water runs down the side of the kettle. I rarely make a drink without spilling (boiling) water on the floor or the counter. This is a terrible product. Terrible. Thrown with disgust onto the trash heap of history. PS: Actually recycled but that doesn't sound as dramatic.
