Everything about it is bad except the appearance. It looks nice, but the quality of the metal is very sketchy (mine has rust after a mere month). Worse, the whistle works only "sometimes" and even when it works it is not loud at all. I actually just this minute ruined the kettle completely (and almost started a fire) because I never heard the almost non-existent whistle and the kettle quickly ran out of water and burned out. As other reviewers have stated, the handle gets VERY hot, much too hot to touch with a gas range. I always had to use a pot holder to pour. That brings us to possibly the most annoying part of this product: it doesn't even pour cleanly. It dribbles and drips spitting water all over the place, and water runs down the side of the kettle. I rarely make a drink without spilling (boiling) water on the floor or the counter. This is a terrible product. Terrible. Thrown with disgust onto the trash heap of history.
