Review: Brilliant! Small But Effective! - Got this to add to my Home Assistant setup, for detecting shaking from my washing machine. I had to set it to high sensitivity to react to small vibrations but it works. Do not forget to change the time for the reset of the vibration sensor for continuous vibrations such as a washer. Works perfectly with my sonoff zigbee stick, instantly paired after holding the button on the small sensor. I really just expected this to be a vibration sensor and that's it, but oh my, it is a Temperature sensor too! This small guy reports Temperature, Vibration, Motion and the Angle it is at!? This is a great little device to have around! I am using Zigbee2mqtt with mosquitto and HomeAssistant, and as soon as Z2M picked it up the entity was visible in HomeAssistant with all sensors reporting almost immediately. Why almost you ask? Temperature and Battery took a little while to come through as it only reports every 5 minutes or so. Overall I am very satisfied with it, the only small thing is the packaging, its oversized for such a small device, lots of paper waste. But otherwise works wonderfully and will certainly buy more in the long run!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: If I get an aqara m2 hub that supports Alexa will this work with Alexa?**
A: No, it won’t.  The Alexa Integration does not see it as a Device (doesn’t pick up any of my vibration sensors).

**Q: Will this work with any zigbee hub?**
A: Despite what “Aqara Official UK” says. I’m using many Aqara Zigbee products with a generic Zigbee hub. Isn’t that the whole point of Zigbee? 😊

**Q: Is this alexa compatible? and can this use the deco m9 as its hub?**
A: Sorry, the Aqara Vibration Sensor is not compatible with Alexa. We do not support the Deco M9 hub. An Aqara Hub is required.

**Q: Can you isolate the tilt/vibration/drop? as i'm looking to add it to my door letterbox (uk), so only want it to notify on tilt, not vibrate or drop.**
A: Yes, you can test for each condition separately. Many of our customers have reported using it for their mailboxes.
