We have always cleaned our brushes with paint stripper until they stopped selling it. It cleaned gunked up dried brushes up well and we could reuse them over and over without throwing them away and having to buy new ones. I totally strips all of the water based stains from the brushes like the old cancer causing strippers did. Water based stains are very similar to paints. Of course there are all kinds of paints. Some say this stuff doesn’t work but I suppose it all depends on the type of paint you’re trying to strip. It worked great for our needs and I don’t see why it wouldn’t strip any normal household latex paint. Enamels on metals or super industrial type paints may be a different situation. I’m guessing it’s high heat paint.** A: I could not get this paint remover to remove paint on anything.
