Using them on thick carpet… they were tippy. I added these spikes… problem solved. The spikes aren’t sharply pointed. Slight round-off , but pointed enough to poke through the carpet and pad. Just right. I didn’t used the enclosed pads, as I didn’t need them for my application. The threads on the spikes/bushings are decent. Gives you adjustability for leveling the speaker. Lock rings keep it all tight. The gold coating is bright. The vendor pictures are accurate. I’m happy with this purchase for the price. Review: be aware of size! - these are nicely made and would work fine on monitors....they cannot handle a floor standing speaker!
