The instructions are very detailed, and the product page also has a specific assembly video. This is a good point. The overall quality is still ok, with the App operation response is also quite fast ~ good comments! ### ⭐ Why can't you lock this a deadbolt with just the code? *by S***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2020* I may update my review later, but right now with no answer to my questions I must rate this a 1 star. As you can see in the questions, I am not the only one that does not understand how to lock this lock without a phone app or a key.The lock looks good. It is a bit of a pain to install. You get a manual for installing and managing the phone app, but 1 page for installation. I suggest if you buy this lock to install it with the key inserted and make sure you can lock and unlock the lock with the key and that you can remove the key before bolting everything down. You will save yourself a head ache.The long metal tong that operates the lock must be turned just right for the lock to work properly. It is possible for everything to look ok, but you can’t remove the key while the lock is in the locked position. If you run into that try turning the metal tong and try it again. As I said head ache.But the real head ache is having a lock that I can give people the code to open, but they are unable to lock the lock when they leave. That really does defeat the purpose. I have gone through the manual, internet, youtube and even asked questions here and I have still not learned how to lock the deadbolt with just a code. In the description it reads: 3 ways of lock and unlock: Smartphone, Code and Mechanical Key. There are 3 ways to open it, but only 2 ways to lock it. Do not buy this product, there are better options out there. If I had it to do again I would not just read the review I would check youtube. If there is little or no information to be found out there, then you are better off not buying it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Functionally OK so far, Not an easy install *by C***B on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2019* Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  It was not straight forward installing this lock and the instructions appeared to be for a previous model.Important to note:1. The 12 pin connector that connects between the rear and front panel of the lock sits in such a way that I actually had to drill a small recess for the male part of the connector to sit in when putting the parts together. Other wise it would protrude out from the door making the assembly of the two halves impossible.2. The deadbolt striker plate - i.e. the plate that the the dead bolt is guided through on your door, was larger than my current striker plate so this required me to take a wood chisel and create a wider recess in the doorSo far the lock functions OK, I need to lubricate it because it sometimes sticks a bit locking and unlocking.
