Despite losing one of the much sought after, alkaline, D batteries, and only being a 6-Cell, this is a beast. If you're a illumination enthusiast, a guy who happens to like flashlights, a guy who gets paid to intimidate people, a guy who needs something reliable to ward off aggressors, or just a boy scout on an outing; this is what you want. This is what you need. This is what anyone who has "flashlight" in their mind, should be picturing, and it's soooo perfect. Also, you can slam it on both a cinder block, or solid brick, and both will break (not recommended, just saying from experience). Seeing where you're going at night, and self defense, combined with an excessively long battery life, are the reasons for a 5 star on this. (Psst... yeah you, reading this review. You probably already saw the tempered-glass lens replacement if you've seen this on Amazon, so go ahead and add that to your cart; talk about making something perfect better. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Great for general use, not detail at a distance *by T***E on March 11, 2018* I purchased this for use at work. I need something that will be bright to spot any window open.I work for a school, and at the end of a night I must make sure all the building is secured. I have used this a few times. Our building is stretched out very long and half of it has two floors. Sometimes people open a window an inch or two, and when it is an upstairs room, it is very hard to tell.This light is not the greatest for that purpose. I found myself going to the local store and getting the maglite with the led bulb. That one works great. This is fine as long as you don't need detail light. I use Duracell batteries for work, I think they last longer than the others.I use my flashlight over one hour a day, five days a week. With the led light, I use, the battery has lasted over two months of use, and just replaced the battery.I have decided to use this around my house, and is perfect for looking at stuff at night. I love this flashlight, but not for work. These flashlight are made great and last forever it seems.
