## Description

Memorex DVD+R 8.5GB Double Layer 8x 25 Pack Spindle

Review: For the price and convenience, well worth it - My experience has been that when you're buying Dual Layer blank DVDs, in brick and mortar stores you always pay a premium and you almost never have options on what to get, which is really a pain. Fortunately, the price on these is tolerable, and in my experience the quality is about where they should be. First thing is why to get these over single layer? Most people really don't need dual layer DVDs unless you have large files or longer videos you want to put onto a single DVD rather than breaking it up. In my case I had a home video that was fairly long and I was faced with either using a lower quality to fit onto a single layer, or splurge to get a dual layer disc that could fit it. The burn process is just like a normal DVD burn, except for a little longer, and the end result looks like a normal single layer burned DVD. I can't speak to the long term quality on these discs, but in past experience with Memorex blank media I haven't had any problems with them lasting for a few years. Previously I've made the mistake with going with generic branded blank media and had problems with it a year or two after burning. Overall, happy enough with these, and think you will be too. Pros: Well known brand with reputation of good quality Works well for burning larger files/videos Cons: Price is a little high compared to single layer media
Review: Great price, no problems! - I see a lot of bad reviews of these discs (most of the bad ones show up on the first page), however, it also looks like most of those bad reviews are from 2011 and prior. Maybe Memorex was making the discs differently back then, but I have not had any issues with these. I like burning DVDs for my wife of all of our home movies, as well as pictures from our phones, and I used to use only 4GB discs, even though they worked great, there just wasn't enough space to put more than a handful of events on a disc so I went looking for an alternative. I found these discs at BestBuy for almost $50...and honestly that's ridiculous! I actually used Google Goggles to scan the barcode, and the first thing that happened is they popped up at more than half off, and free shipping via prime. Needless to say, I purchased them from desertcart, and have not looked back. I've not not errors writing to these discs (using a Mac). I would highly recommend them, especially if you're looking at burning movies to DVD for your family.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Product

Initially I was not sure about ordering this blank disc set. For some reason there were always a good number of negative reviews for almost all dual layer disc sets available at Amazon. Ultimately price was the deciding factor and so I decided to go with Memorex. The very first disc I tried to burn got damaged after about 95% of the process. I was worried whether all the negative reviews were true. But from then I decreased the burning speed from 8X to 4X (though the disc says 8X) and now things couldn't be more perfect. Sure it takes 25 minutes to burn 8GB at 4X. But still no more burning errors so far and I burn these dual layer discs only once in a while so time consumed is not really an issue. For the price, this is an unbelievable deal.
